Dr Shalini Menezes is the CEO/R&D Director of InterPhases Solar, a company she founded to pursue the development of an off-mainstream PV technology. Her current research focuses on the I-III-VI chalcogenide materials, surface/interface modification, nanoscale devices physics, thin-film synthesis and low-cost production methods. Her widely recognized accomplishments in PV and vast experience with semiconductor electrochemistry led to a range of new breakthroughs in PV technology. Dr. Menezes holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry and Solid State Physics, 10 patents, over 90 publications, and has presented over 100 papers worldwide. Previously she was a member of technical staff at AT&T Bell Labs, Helmholtz Zentrum, and Rockwell Scientific. She also held guest scientist positions at the Helmholtz Zentrum, Berlin, and CNRS, Paris.
